Hello! My name is Edwin Montero. I’m a full-time graphic-designer, hand-lettering artist, and photographer based in New York City. I was born and raised in the Bronx. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Shintaro Akatsu School of Design at the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

I have always been an artist. When I was a kid I remember how fascinated my friends and family were with my drawings and sketches. They would give me scraps of paper, checks that had already been voided, paper bags, and even my mom's old double bingo lottery tickets to draw on. From that moment on, I knew that art & design were the two things that I would adore for the rest of my life.

What I Love: Simplicity, typography, letterforms, hand lettering, the color orange, calligraphy, markers, 70 degree weather, pizza, Apple products, the New York Mets, smooth jazz (heavy on the xylophone & sax), Batman the Animated Series.
